The 2023 Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State, Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, has congratulated a renowned human rights lawyer, Monday Onyekachi Ubani, on the occasion of the celebration of his birthday on July 27.
Recall that Monday Ubani was an ex-2nd Vice chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association and hailed from the Awomukwu clan in Ikwuano local government area of Abia state.
He is the current chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Developmental Law, (NBA-SPIDEL).
However, Dr. Ogah, who was the immediate past Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, in a message forwarded on Wednesday, noted the laudable contributions and continuous roles of Ubani towards deepening the present democratic process in the country and home state, Abia, through his legal profession.
He also noted that Ubani has remained at the forefront in the defense of voiceless and less-privileged, as well as, in the crusade for all political leaders in the country to do what is right to enhance the welfare of the Nigerian people, through the provision of critical and meaningful socio-economic and Infrastructural amenities.
The Doyen of Abia Rejoice, further said that the Abia people are proud of the renowned lawyer for his unwavering commitments, courage, and resoluteness in championing their collective interests, and also added that history will be kind to Dr. Ubani for his philanthropy which had given a sense of belongings to those who have come across him both within and outside.
Ogah who lauded Ubani’s genuine flair for activism for a better society where all citizens are allowed to exercise their fundamental rights and contribute individually to the nation building describes the lawyer as a perfect legal icon and Peoples advocate.
Dr. Ogah, on behalf of his immediate family, associates, teeming supporters across Abia and the diaspora, friends, and well-wishers congratulate Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani once again, on the auspicious celebration of his birthday, praying almighty God to continue to grant the celebrant abundant strengths, wisdom, direction, and long life in the course of his laudable service for humanity.
