The Ohimegye Opanda of Umaisha development area, Toto local government of Nasarawa State Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, has tasked politicians with inflammatory statements during electioneering.
He asserted while playing host to the campaign team of Architect Shehu Tukur for Senate 2023 led by the director-general, Joseph Kaura, at his palace in Umaisha, Saturday.
Receiving the campaign team of Architect Shehu Tukur for Senate Nasarawa Western senatorial district 2023, the Ohimegye Opanda, Usman Abdullahi, expressed excitement for the visit stating that his palace is known for receiving different political groups, individual thus, charging all the aspirants contesting for different positions to be orderly in their conduct for a peaceful election.
Represented by the Madakin Umaisha, Adamu Salihu, the Ohimegye described Architect Shehu Tukur as humble who has respect for the traditional institutions In the state and wished him success in his political ambition just as he called on the campaign team to be be be respect each other’s aspirations for the United political system.
Earlier, the director-general, Architect Shehu Tukur campaign organization, Joseph Kaura, told the traditional ruler that the purpose of their visit was to notify him of the ambition of Shehu Tukur who is contesting for Nasarawa Western senatorial seat which is currently vacant after the exit of Senator Abdullahi Adamu and solicited his royal blessings to enable them to succeed.
Joseph Kaura with his team also had an interactive session with the excos of the APC officials and Elders in the Toto local government area where he informed them on the need to support the aspiration of Shehu Tukur to enable him to emerge victorious during the forthcoming primaries, stressing that Tukur, having served as Zonal chairman of APC, he transformed the face of the party positively thereby calling on delegates to shun money bag politicians who cannot come home after the election.
Joseph Kaura alongside, two former commissioners in Nasarawa state, Emmanuel Brass Yaji, Hajiya Jamila Sarki, and other top APC stalwarts in Nasarawa west senatorial zone were also at the palace of the Emir of Nasarawa, Ibrahim Jibril Usman, canvassing support for Architect Shehu Tukur, where the royal father enjoined the team for his support, advising them to be sincere in their dealings to achieve their aims and objective.
At the APC party office in Tamah, Nasarawa local government area, the director-general, of Architect Shehu Tukur’s campaign organization, Joseph Kaura, told the party officials that Architect Tukur is a Man with proven integrity, intelligence, and dedication to the service of humanity hence the need for people to support him for quality representation at the red chamber, Abuja comes 2023.
Responding, the APC chairman, Nasarawa Local government area, Yusuf Adamu Auta, thanked them for the visit and said the party will support aspirants that will bring Unity and development to the party and the electorate after winning the election.
