Onolememen Felicitates With Obasanjo at 85.
Chief (Dr) Mike Onolememen CON, the former Minister of State for Defence, former Minister of Works, and PDP leader in Edo State has congratulated President Olusegun Obasanjo on his 85th birthday, which was recently celebrated by friends and well-wishers around the world.
In his message which was made available to us, the Adolor of Uromi Kingdom salutes the determined leadership style of the former president and his dedication to the nation. Dr. Mike said right from his army days, President Obasanjo has shown that he is a detribalized Nigeria whose political ideology derives from the need to develop the nation across all the geopolitical zones of the country. He further added that it was the former military head of state’s astute leadership in Nigeria that got him elected in 1999 after the expiration of General Abdusalam Abubakar’s short tenure. Dr. Mike said under the leadership of President Obasanjo between 1999 to 2007, Nigeria witnessed one of the most propulsive developments in its nascent democracy.
The Adolor concluded by wishing President Obasanjo happiness, good health, sound judgment, prosperity, and peaceful coexistence with peoples of different persuasions that might differ from his own as a personality who speaks truth to power. He prayed that God Almighty will continue to be his guard and protector in all his good endeavors and may he find favor in the eyes of the Lord always.
