Party Primaries: Ex-Senator Adokwe Drums Support For Nasarawa PDP Guber Aspirant, Gen. Angbazo

A party chieftain and one of the founding fathers of the People’s Democratic party, PDP, in Nasarawa State, Distinguished Senator Adenya Suleiman Adokwe, Tuesday led a mop-up solicitation campaign tour in support of a frontline gubernatorial aspirant in , Major General Nuhu Angbazo (Rtd).

Adokwe a former Senator who represented the good people of the Nasarawa South Senatorial District of the Stete, asserted that the aim of the tour was to interact with key stakeholders and solicit delegates to vote massively for General Angbazo so as to give the party a big chance to rescue the State from the hardship being experienced under this wicked and mischievous APC administration.

Nuhu Angbazo Campaign Organization, said Senator Adokwe compassionately appealed to the PDP delegates in the zone to rise to occasion and put all necessary efforts in ensuring that the PDP presents a candidate who has what it takes to move the party forward and be declared winner in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the State.

The statement further stated that Senator Adokwe unequivocally spoke in clear terms that Major General Angbazo is an aspirant who many define as an embodiment of hope, skill, tenacity, competence and credibility.

“With my experience in politics, I cannot bring someone that does not have the capacity to protect our votes in the General election come 2023 by God’s grace. Over the years, winning elections have never been a problem for the PDP but results are always manipulated by enemies of the good people of Nasarawa State, but with the candidature of the People’s General, the ruling APC already know their time is up and so the delegates should consider the yearnings and cries of the good people of Nasarawa State and vote for General Angbazo to fly the party’s ticket.”

Senator Adokwe stated that “to the best of my knowledge, none of the aspirants have offended me in anyway and haven known both the strengths and weaknesses of the trio brothers/aspirants contesting for the gubernatorial ticket of the PDP in Nasarawa State, General Angbazo is best fit and most accepted by the party stalwarts of Nasarawa State across board as out pour of goodwill messages and prayers across the state has shown and the delegates should put this into consideration so as not to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Senator Adokwe further lamented that he was worried by the way some aspirants have embarked on injurious and smear campaigns which may likely lead to differences in the PDP family. He called on all aspirants to maintain only issue based campaigns and focus on the image of the PDP candidate that would emerge among them after the the primary. He lamented that some candidates have been spreading lies and falsehood that they have been the sole financiers of the great PDP. He said nobody can claim monopoly of sustaining PDP in the state. In fact, it is ridiculous and insulting for some of us that have been in this party since 1998 to date hearing some persons who even recently conspired against this party in recent elections talking about party sustainance.

To round up the solicitation visit, Senator Suleiman Adokwe while appealing to his friends, political associates, teeming supporters and well-wishers to vote for General Angbazo, also encouraged the electorates who don’t have their Voters card to go and register in the continuous Permanent Voters Card registration to enable them vote in the forthcoming general elections in the country comes 2023 by God’s grace.

On their part, the delegates from Awe, Keana, Doma and Lafia Local governments spoke extensively that they have seen and heard from the distinguished Senator, Adenya Suleiman Adokwe that General Nuhu Angbazo is the right man for the job and the most suitable and qualified person given his clean records in his 35 years of active Public service as a Military officer and also his clean image in the PDP which would be a benefit to the PDP if he gets the gubernatorial ticket come 25th of May, 2022, therefore we’ll handover our votes to our leader Sen. Adokwe for an onwards transmission to the people’s General Angbazo by God’s grace”.

While appreciating Senator Adokwe for his sacrificial efforts and his sincere commitment in sustaining the party right from inception, a delegate from Obi LG described such a leadership as an order that has guided, nurture and groom them all as Party faithfuls, saying endorsing the People’s General, Nuhu Agbazo, for the PDP primaries they have signed it as a duty that must be accomplished.

They also expressed joy and satisfaction in the ways he has carried himself with all sense of responsibility and issue based campaigns so far during the campaigns across the states and when he met with them at various levels. They said they cannot wait to see the full picture of what the General has in store for the PDP and great people of Nasarawa State.

Amongst the high powered delegation in the entourage of Sen. Suleiman Adokwe was the Director General of the General Nuhu Angbazo Campaign Organization, Hon. Adamu Oyanki, Hon. Hamisu Abubakar Akiri, Coordinator Nasarawa South for Gen. NuhuAngbazo, Barr. Ayiwulu Baba Ayiwulu, Director Youth Mobilization, Hon. Alhaji Malam Yahaya Sarkin Noma, former Chairman Doma Local government, Mr. Dangana isaiah, Taimako Sunday Anyuabaga, Director, media and Publicity of Gen. Nuhu Angbazo. Others include Hassan Abdulmumini ,Campaign Secretary, Comr. Sadiq Kanje, Justice Allu and other members of the Gen. Nuhu Angbazo campaign organisation.
