Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Nasarawa State Chapter has hailed Gov. Abdullahi Sule for approving the absorption of casual staff of the State Assembly into main stream civil service.
The association also appreciated Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the State legislature for his role in ensuring the absorption of the casual staff into permanent and pensionable appointments.
Chairman of the Association, Comrade Dauda Nuhu Iliyasu gave the commendation while speaking with Assembly Correspondents in Lafia today.

He said that the gesture done by the Governor is commendable, hence the need of the appreciation .
” We thank Almighty God that yesterday during the presentation of 2023 budget by His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule, our Rt. Hon. Speaker announced the approval for the absorption of our casual staff into main stream of the civil service.
” We are grateful to the Governor and the Speaker for making the dreams of the casual staff a reality.
” We want to assure His Excellency and our amiable Speaker that we will reciprocate the gesture by dedicating to our duties for effective service delivery ” he said.
The PASAN Chairman said that the association prayed and support the re-election bid of Gov. Sule to enable him consolidate on the gains he has achieved so far.
” We pray for 4 plus 4 for His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023, we also prayed for our amiable Speaker to succeed beyond 2023,” he said
He restated his continuous commitment to initiate good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the members of the association and for effective legislative performance.
It was gathered that the atmosphere in the State Assembly was different as the casual staff took to jubilation and celebration for their hope that was re-candled pledging their loyalty and support to the leaders.
It was also gathered that over one hundred staff of the assembly are casual who have spent between eight and fifteen years in the House.
