Studies indicate the tremendous benefits of early intervention in education which translates in very high graduation rates, well equipped labour market entrants, social welfare, and reduced crime rate. For capitalizing on the above benefits, is to catch them young and equip them with tools to tackle any future challenges.

The program sponsored by Peaceful Ladies Association Toto is an early intervention program aimed at promoting the tools and opportunities to empower the future of tomorrow.

Peaceful ladies under the distinguished leadership of Hafsat Gali has kickoff a programe tagged a war against poverty in Toto local government through one of her initiatives called “Free Skills Acquisition Empowerment Programme”.

The programe had one hundred participants mostly young ladies from Toto local government which were enrolled to aquire ” Free Skills Acquisition and to be empower in order to be independent.

The convener of the Peaceful Ladies Association Toto Local Government Area, Hafsat Gali in a brief address said practical contributions to the resuscitation of the economy and uplifting of her women folk from extreme poverty can not be over emphasized.

She said the free acquisition and empowerment program were part of their gesture to give back to the society and empower her constituents especially in this period of Covid-19 Pandemic.

She also assured those who were yet to benefit from the gesture that she would will soon roll out similar empowerment programmes for them in subsequent phases to come.

According to Hafsat, the aim is to assist marginalized persons between the ages of 18-30 years to become familiarized with the digital-age in a global environment by bridging the digital divide through Information and Communications Technology

Miss Gali noting the negative implications of Covid-19 on the nation economy, adding that she has a great passion for the growth and development of women, youths and children across Toto local government and hence for her intervention.

She said her class will be exclisively coaching the women on hair dressing, tailoring, interior decoration and bakering among others.

On his part, Toto LG Executive Chairman ably represented by Moh’d Sani (CoS) to the chairman said Youths and women have continuously contributed to the economy of the great local government through trade and technical works are no doubts genuine movers of the society.

Toto LG councillor Hon. Abubakar Kwanaki said he has a strong belief that if we all come together as a force to tackle poverty with a vision of enriching lives through people-oriented leadership, our society will become better.

Speaking at the event, Hajiya Mairo Waziriyan Toto said the empowerment programme was to redeem the hardship women pass through in the area and to also show them, love, by assisting them during this period of pandemic.

Waziriyan toto further explained that the initiated programmes are aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the women

Central Pilot School Toto venue of the event was fill to its capacity as who is who from area grace the occasion.

Other Speakers who contributed their quota at the event praised Miss Hafsat Gali for her commitment towards inculcating moral value for Toto women, The NYCN Chairman Toto LG, Comr Musa Mansir, Comr Ibrahim Mohammed Lawal Lawal ( Dubagari Jnr) Naus S.p, YAN Speaker Rt. Yusuf Adamu Omehi, Hajiya Mairo ( Waziriyan Toto), Hajiya Fatima Titi ( Sarauniyan Toto), Former APC Ward chairman Toto, Former Toto Youth Leader Zakari Gashinbaki and other prominent personalities among others
