Primaries: KIPL Boss, Aisha Suleiman congratulates Usman Ododo on his emergence as APC Candidate in Kogi

Following the conclusion of All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries in Kogi State, Hajiya Aisha Suleiman has congratulated Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for picking the party ticket for the November 11 governorship election.

Hajiya Aisha Suleiman who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Kogi Investment and Properties Limited (KIPL), celebrated with the people of Kogi State more especially the progressive family for witnessing the free, fair, credible and peaceful election in the State.

Aisha Suleiman, in a congratulatory Message made available to newsmen on Tuesday, in Lokoja, the State capital, saluted the delegates, officials and aspirants for their peaceful conduct leading to a hitch free election.

The KIPL boss equally praised Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his efforts towards keeping the state safe amidst massive developments in all front.

She also congratulated delegates across the State for voting massively Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, describing his choice as best political arithmetic which will not only aid APC victory in the election but rather consolidate on already achieved dividends as evident in the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.

She said the NWC committee has reaffirmed APC’s belief in due process, which was earlier demonstrated in Kogi by delegates who troop out en-masse to ensure free, fair and transparent primaries, devoid of rancour and bitterness.

She appealed to aggrieved members and other unsuccessful aspirants to close ranks with the party and support Usman Ododo to ensure that APC emerges victorious in the November Governorship election.

Global Times Nigeria correspondent reports that 7 out of the 17 aspirants step withdrew from the race include the State Deputy Governor, David Edward Onoja, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Muhammed Jamiu Asuku, State Accountant General, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh and others.

While the Deputy Publicity Secretary, Murtal Muri Ajaka was barred by the Federal High Court from participating in the primaries after being suspended by his ward executive.

The election held on April 14, under the Chairmanship of Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle declared the results on Saturday morning after results were successfully collated from the 21 local government areas of the State.
