Prominent citizens of Nasarawa State and other friendly Nigerians converged on Umaisha in Toto Local government area of Nasarawa State to be part and witness the wedding ceremony of the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt Honourable Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and Rukaiyat.

The occasion has further exposed the Umaisha, otherwise known as Oherehu an ancient town and the seat of Opanda kingdom, one of the popular kingdoms in Africa that were colonised by the British.

The prominent personalities in attendance include Gov. Abdullahi Sule, Sen
Abdullahi Adamu, Sen.Tanko Al-Makura, Deputy Governor Dr Emmanuel Akabe, Minister of State Science and Technology Barr. Hassan Abdullahi, Hon Silas Ali Agara former Dep. Governor.

Emir of Lafia also led other traditional rulers, past and serving State and Federal lawmakers, Arch. Abu Seze a business mogul ,VC of Federal University Lafia

Also the State Chairman of the ruling party APC, Dr John Maman and his FCT counterpart Abdulmalik Usman, Former Speaker of the State Assembly Hon. Musa Ahmed Muhammed, a renown Islamic Scholar in Nigeria, Sheikh Abubakar Gero Arigungu from kebbi State, were in attendance.

Nasarawa State ALGON, Nasarawa Assembly staff, Chairman FCT Traditional Council of Chiefs and Ona of Abaji, Friends and Associates of the Speaker among other graced the wedding celebration.

Presiding over the marriage, Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu, a renowned Islamic scholar in Nigeria from Kebbi State, who tied the nuptial knot pronounced Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and Princess Rukaiyat Mohammed as husband and wife after the payment of N100, 000 as dowry and presentation of medical certificates of fitness.

Sheikh Gero urged the couple to be patient and show understanding to each other for the success of their marriage.

The State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule represented the interest of the groom, while Ohimege Opanda HRH Alh. Usman Abdullahi represent the interest of the bride.

Prayers and messages of goodwills from religion and political leaders climaxed the wedding fatiha just as the groom Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi and his bride Princess Rukaiyat thanked those, who supported their marriage in one way or the other, praying God to reward them abundantly and return them to their various destinations safely.
