Rep Leke Mourns Kogi Born Remote Sensing Prof Seidu Muhammed, Describes His Passage As Colossus

Honourable Leke Abejide, representing Yagba Federal Constituency of Kogi State at the National Assembly, Abuja, has expressed condolences to the family of Prof Seidu Onailo Mohammed, the former Director-General/CEO, National Space Research and Development Agency, whose death was announced on Monday, August 8, 2022.

The federal lawmaker in a condolence message said passing of remote sensing Professor was painful and most unfortunate not only to Kogi State but the country and even beyond its borders.

According to Rep Abejide, the former NASRDA CEO was a humanitarian icon and fatherly leader, noting that the testimonies of his charity and the number of lives he has impacted was to too numerous to mention.

Leke, who is the Chairman House Committee on Customs, urged the late distinguished Space Scientist’s family, management and staff of the National Space Research and Development Agency, friends and associates to take solace in the fact that the academic don had lived a life worthy of emulation, as his impact on humanity is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf.

Rep Leke also stated that the late Professor distinguished himself as a Geo-Science scholar as a Fellow and Board Member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and a major player in global Space Research and Development whose enormous contributions history will never forget as the DG, NASRDA.

The award winning legislator had m during the 8 day Fidau Prayers of the Late Professor Seidu Condoled the People of Abejukolo, His Colleague Honourable Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, The Senator Representing Kogi East, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho, Entire Igala Kingdom, the Government and Good People of Kogi State.

He, therefore prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and gives the family left behind the heart to bear the loss.
