In the last near four years of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state who assumed duty in May 29, 2019 on its first lap, the zeal for peaceful coexistence and peace had been the hallmark of his administration.

These varies from sectional crises, inter tribal disagreements, intra ethnic problems, problems occasioned by government actions and decisions both at the state and federal level, communal crises along with political crises among many others.

For Babajide Sanwo-Olu, there is no disagreements without the application of peace and harmony, that will address any visible or non visible situations.

Without peace , the elusion of development will be obvious, therefore in the face of obvious confrontation, Lagos state Governor had been the vanguard of peaceful atmosphere that had pervaded the growing cosmopolitan city, hence heralding more development and attracted more investment.

Since peace was a corollary to all round development, the Lagos state government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu used all possible fora to preach peace and not to allowed palpable environment and situations degenerate beyond control.

This was coming from the recent post presidential election disagreements after the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections, that almost let loose the conducive peaceful environment Lagos state had witnessed in recent times.

In his words, no nation thrives in disagreements and crises, the miracle he had deployed over the years as no 1 citizen of Lagos state in all areas, nooks and crannies of Lagos state.

From a very discouraging experience of ENDSARS where public properties, his personal and family properties was targeted and destroyed beyond imagination, the Lagos Governor remained the harbor of peace and advocate of serene environment, the miracle that had kept Lagos moving forward in many ways among many others.

During the debilitating COVID pandemic and subsequent lockdowns of world economies for months with Lagos taking a larger toll, the Governor took time to preach and practice the gospel of peace as panacea to realizing and resolving any uphill tasks.

After many months of lockdown, COVID and post COVID era both in it’s second, third, fourth and fifth wave as well as delta variant strictly observed by Lagos state government, the need for peace had been the bane of the survival and subsequent return of lives to normalcy in the largest city of the west African sub- region.

In the face of series of agitations, insinuations and confrontations occasioned by one situation or the other, the governor has displayed the symbol of peace as the parameters to achieving greatness.

In the face of the coming Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections drawing nearer, Lagos state government had set up a machinery to discourage violence and continue to imbibe the culture of peace across the state.

Since the transition from one administration to the other was always a four year ritual and program, disrupting the smooth transition will deny the densely populated Lagos state the dividends of democracy, which the current leadership under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was providing.

For a responsible Government under Babajide Sanwo-Olu of APC to have sustained the tempo of a cordial environment among Lagosians in the last four years, paving way for all round investment and development locally and internationally, the need to re-elect him for a second term in office will revolutionized not only peaceful coexistence, but all round development.

Without pretences through actions and performances, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state had proven beyond reasonable doubts and deserved re-election to complete his second term of his administration through provision of more dividends of democracy.

All hands must be on deck to support his bid to continue to pilot and manage the affairs of Lagos state, so as to trigger more progress, harmonious co-existence and environment for investors to divest, therefore creating not only more job opportunities for residents of Lagos state, but job security and of lives and properties.

Sanwo-Olu of Lagos under the platform of All Progressives Congress APC was already tested and trusted, having extended an olive branch and development to all nooks and crannies of Lagos state, and deserve return to continue the good works already started to completion and fruition in his second term in office.

Therefore, the victory of Lagos state Governor will be non negotiable and realistic going by the general acceptability of the people of Lagos state to vote massively for the Saturday March 11 Governorship and State Assembly elections in the state.
