Senator Aduda holds one year memorial service of late father, Rt Rev. Samari Aduda.
By Sadiq Abubakar, Abuja.: The senate minority leader, Senator Philip Aduda representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) alonside his family members held one year memorial service of their late father, Rt Reverend Tanimu Samari Aduda.
Speaking at the event which held at Aduda’s family residence in Karu Abuja, on Thursday, Senator Chukwuka Godfrey Utazi, senator representing Enugu north senatorial district, said senator Aduda has been a rewarding and reaching experience working with him.
He said it is as a result of working with senator Aduda at the national assembly he become very close to Senator Aduda’s family, saying he don’t expect anything much since senator Aduda’s father was a pioneer bishop of Gwagwalada Archdiocese.
Also speaking, the commissioner for Public Complaint Commission (PCC) representing FCT, Mr Ezikel Dalhattu Musa, said the one year memorial service of the late Aduda’s father was a clear testimony of how the deceased had lived a good life and legacy.
“Senator is someone I know while working with him in anything he does,he will begin and end with prayers. He cannot enter his office without saying a prayer, as you can’t also embark on any journey without saying a prayer,’ he said.
He added ” it is our duty people who their parents a very committed christians that join politics that will take Christ to everything we do in politics and make a difference and that’s what Philip is doing at the national assembly,”he said.
Senator Utazi, therefore, prayed for God to continue to grant late Aduda’s father am eternal rest in paradise.
He noted that late Aduda’s father, Rt Reverend Tanimu Samari Aduda, had left behind good virtues that everyone should emulate, adding that the deceased had left behind good legacies that everyone irrespective of his or position in the society should copy.
He, however, prayed for God and wish the deceased and eternal rest, while also praying for God to continue to give senator Aduda’s family the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
The Ona of Abaji and chairman of the FCT council of chiefs, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, who also graced the event, prayed for God for the soul of the deceased to continue to rest in peace.
He commended Senator Aduda, for his efforts in keeping the family under one roof, while urging Aduda to ensure he continue to sustain the good footprints and legacies left behind by his late father Rt Reverend Tanimu Samari Aduda.
On his part, Senator Philip Aduda, recalled how the family planned to celebrate 10th year anniversary of his mother, until when death came and took away his father, Rt Reverend Tanimu Samari Aduda, saying that was how God wanted it.
He said he praises to God for the good his father had done in the lives of the entire family, while appreciating his colleagues from the senate for taking time of their tight schedule to attend the one year memorial service of his late father.
Aduda, also commended his younger brother, Gabriel Aduda for good things he has also been doing for the family while he prayed for God to continue to guide ans protect him.
Our correspondent report that among dignitaries that graced the event included top clerics, traditional rulers, top party chieftains, senior government officials and among others.
