Senator Aduda Honored At Celebration Of Gbari Annual Cultural Carnival In Kwali

Senator Philip Aduda representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Wednesday, decorated with the Gbari cultural attires at the celebration of Gbari Annual Cultural Carnival held at Kwali mini stadium, Abuja.

Senator Aduda, who arrived at the venue at about 12;34 pm, was received by the Etsu of Kwali, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Shaban Audu Nizazo (III), alongside a mammoth crowd that cut across women and youth organizations, market women as well as some stakeholders in the council.

Speaking at the event, Senator Aduda, enjoined both Gbari, Gbagyi, and other indigenous ethnic groups across the council to see themselves as one indivisible family, while he urged them to eschew divisive tendencies.

He, however, urged the organizers of the event to continue to organize such an event, which he said will go a long way to sustain the culture and tradition of both Gbari and Gbagyi natives of the territory.

He said culture is one of the fundamental aspects of every ethnic group in the world, saying any tribe without can not be identified in the scheme of things, hence, the culture and tradition should be sustained so that the yet unborn children can emulate.

The Senate minority whip, while appreciating the organizers of the event, also commended the APC-led administration of the council under the leadership of Hon Danladi Chiya, for his efforts towards embarking on a project that has a direct bearing on the lives of the good people of the Kwali area council.

He further commended the Etsu of Kwali, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Shaban Audu Nizazo (III) for ensuring peaceful coexistence among residents of his chiefdom, irrespective of tribal, ethnic, and religious affiliations, while he also wished entire residents of the FCT for celebrating the Christmas without any hitches and wished them a happy new year.

Also speaking, the Etsu of Kwali, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Shaban Audu Nizazo (III), noted the celebration of the Gbari cultural carnival will go a long way revamping both Gbari and cultures which he said are almost going into extinction.

The monarch commended Senator Philip Aduda for his giant stride towards providing quality representation at the senate, saying that Senator Aduda has impacted positively on the lives of many people across the FCT.

He also appreciated the senator for providing infrastructures such as health centers, road networks, the sinking of boreholes, scholarships disbursement, women and youth empowerment across the territory.
