In continuation of the inspection of some his constituency projects, the senator representing the FCT, Senator Phillip Aduda, inspected the newly built mini stadiums at Jikoyi and Karu as well as some of the ongoing road projects and town hall projects under Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).
Aduda, who was accompanied by the FCT commissioner for public complaints Commission (PCC) Mr Ezikel Dalhatu Musa, said he was overwhelmed with the level of work being carried out contractors handling the ongoing road projects in the area.
He said he was excited to see that sports center was carried out successfully through the support of the chief of Jikoyi and Karu, saying the sport centers will serve and improve sports activities and development in the area.
He said he decided to conduct newsmen round to Inspect some of his ongoing constituency projects across the six area councils in order for the media to get first hand information abou his achievements at the senate.
According to him, the inspection of some of the ongoing projects was to also counter the wrong impressions and insinuations by his opponent that he has nothing to show for people of his constituency after being in national assembly for 20 years.
He said all the ongoing projects are visible for everyone to see, which he said will impact on the lives of the good people across communities in the FCT.
“Besides, all the things that I have done and be doing for the good people of the FCT without sounding immodest, I want to say I am extremely proud about what I have done for the people of the FCT,” he said.
He added “and let me honest with you that there is another similar sport center project ongoing in Gwagwalada, which will serve Kuje, Kwali and Abaji axis, which will also serve for recreational activities,” he said.
Among the projects inspected included the ongoing 3km road & drainage at Gbazango community under Kubwa ward of Bwari area council, rehabilitation of Byazhin road, Byazhin ward of Bwari area council.
The ongoing construction of Kuduru-Garam farm road & rehabilitation of GSS Kuduru and Palace road Kuduru in Bwari, ongoing construction of 1.2 Km road and water drainage at Phase 1 extension road, Karu in AMAC and 1.5 km road and drainage at Kurudu, Orozo ward also in AMAC.
Other projects are, Bwari town hall, Karu town hall, Jikwoyi town hall, Jikwoyi mini stadium Karu town hall which is completed and furnished
