The senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda representing the FCT, in. collaboration with National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and Giohen Global Concept Limited, has organized a sensitization training for women on child abuse and domestic violence against women in the territory.

Speaking at the end of the three days training in Abuja, on Thursday, Aduda, who was represented by his wife Princess Hauwa Philip Aduda, said he decided partner with NAPTIP in order to sensitize both youth and women on the dangers of child abuse and domestic violence against women in the FCT.
He noted that the sensitization training will enlighten the FCT women to know their right on how to defend themselves against domestic violence at their various homes.
He said women always go through a lot in the society, saying he expected every woman that has participated in the training to spread the news across the society in the territory.
Also speaking, the FCT commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) Mr Ezikel Dalhatu Musa, described the sensitization training as timely and thoughtful.
He described the sensitization training for the FCT women as strategic, adding that the training has also clearly defined Senator Aduda as a leader that is always responsive to his people.
“The sensitization training has also clearly shows that the senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda is someone that has done assessments of his people, which he should be rewarded by being re elected in 2023 by his people,” he said.
However, some stakeholders who also spoke at the event, described the training as strategic saying domestic and child abuse is a bane currently facing the society, hence, the need to address the menace to its bearable minimal.

Some of the participants who also spoke with our reporter, however, appreciated Senator Aduda for such an educative opportunity, while promising to cooperate with relevant agencies to combat domestic violence and child abuse in the territory.
