The senate minority leader, Senator Phillip Aduda representing the FCT have been urged to come to the rescue of over 200 staff of Gwagwalada area council by the present All Progressives Congress, APC, led administration under Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin Giri.
A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who is also the immediate former vice chairman of the council, Ibrahim Ibn Jafar, laid the complaint onbehalf of the affected staff before Senator Aduda, who was on campaign tour to Paikon – Kore community of the council on Saturday.

He told Aduda that the affected people who were both staff of different departments of the area council and the Local Education Authority (LEA) that were recruited by the immediate past chairman of the council, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha.
He said there was no justification by the present APC administration on assumption of office immediately disengaged the staff, saying due processes were followed before the affected staffs were recruited.
He, therefore, appealed to senator Aduda to as a matter of urgency and sympathy intervene, saying since the affected staff were sacked, life has been difficult for their families.
Jafar, therefore, commended senator Aduda for his efforts towards executing projects that have been impacting on the lives of people of Paiko community, especially in the area of providing health center, borehole, school as well as youth and women empowerment in the area.
Also speaking, the director general for Atiku Abubakar PDP presidential campaign in the FCT, Mr Ezikel Dalhatu Musa, told the mammoth crowd that the senate under senate Philip Aduda has made positive impact on the lives of people across the 62 political wards in the FCT.
He said senator Aduda has procured over 500 transformers and distributed them across various rural communities in the FCT, adding that over 3,000 solar power light have also been provided across the six area councils.
He added that senator Aduda has sunk boreholes and built clasrooms across many communties, while urging people of Paiko to come out enmass to vote for all PDP candidates in February 25, 2023 election.
