The Vice President-elect of the Federal Republic Nigeria, Senator Ibrahim Kashim Shettima, has described as best thing to happen to Nigeria in its genuine effort and desire to deepen present democratic process in every facets of the nation.

A stalwart of the governing All Progressives Congress, and erstwhile assistant national publicity secretary of the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP), High Chief Nduka Anyanwu, who stated this while fielding questions to newsmen during the weekend, on the heels of expectations of Nigerian citizens from the incoming federal government of Nigeria.

He noted without doubts that Shettima will complement the efforts of the new President-elect, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu in deepening democracy in every sections of the nation, having demonstrated capacity, ability and competences as then Governor of Borno state.

Anyanwu confided that before now, Senator Shettima had undeterredly played significant roles and contributed immensely in nurturing present democracy in the country, and the positive efforts of government of All Progressives Congress at all levels to ensure economic greatness, human and Infrastructural growths.

As then Governor of Boron state, the former national officer of the All Progressives Congress, recalled that Senator Shettima laid solid foundation for the even development seen in critical sectors of the state economy and Infrastructure.

He said the new vice President-elect had also achieved a milestone in current crusade by all critical stakeholders in the country to degrade and halt the insecurity menace ravaging most parts of northern states, as his then administration shown genuine commitment and determination in the war that saw nefarious activities of criminal elements reduced drastically, and provided safe environment for human and economic activities to thrive.

According to the ex-house of representatives aspirant, “amid the security challenges that bedevilled his state, Senator Shettima was committed and undeterredly to delivering critical projects to enhance welfare of people of the state.

“Despite also cheap propaganda and evil antics of the oppositions, he was up-to-task and addressed most of the problems impeding growths of Borno state. And it remains on record he handed over a stable and workable state”.

Anyanwu called on Nigerians to offer their maximum support to the incoming federal government to enable it consolidate the alread-laid developmental strides, and build more critical infrastructure to deepen democracy in every parts of the country.
