Ahead of the various projects to be commissioned across the three Senatorial Districts of Kogi State, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu has visited security Chiefs in the State and commended their efforts at protecting the lives of the citizens.
While at the Police Headquarters, Kogi State Command, he said security is paramount to the development of the society.
Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu who intimated the State Commissioner of Police about the activities of his Foundation, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation (SAAF), explained that the body focuses majorly on economic empowerment, healthcare services and education.
He noted that the three thematic areas were important in every society, stressing that growth and progress will be made easy when the three are in place.
The son of the Former Governor of the State noted that the Foundation has drilled boreholes in five Local Government Areas of the State, saying they will continue to provide development across the length and breath of the State.
Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar said his Foundation was set up to provide succor to the downtrodden in Kogi State, assuring his commitment and that of the Members of the Foundation at achieving such dream.
While appreciating the Command for the hospitality accorded him and his entourage, the humanitarian enjoined them to sustain the good works they have been doing.
Prince Abubakar Audu, who was in company of the United States Special Envoy, Mr. Phillip Bonn Africa Edward and other team members of his foundation described the peaceful coexistence as enjoy in the confluence state as a welcome development.
Responding, Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka, appreciated Prince Shuaibu Abubakar for the visit and commended him contributing his quota to the development of the State.
He described as a noble course the plans of SAAF to Commission Projects that will be of benefit to the people of the State and enjoined him to sustain such good gesture.
“Your visit is an encouragement and I assure you that we will sustain our drive towards ensuring the security”
While at the premises of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Kogi State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Stephen Dawulung, described the visit of Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu as a morale boost.
“To me, it’s an honour and a continuation of the legacies of your late father and I have been seeing the legacy projects of the Former Governor as well
“We are into the service of humanity through saving lives, that’s why we are here so we will continue to ensure that
“Nothing moves well when there is no safety, therefore in carrying out our responsibilities, we need partnership to enable us boost our services and output”
Other places visited include DSS Office, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), among others.
