Tears flow as FCT PDP state chairman Zakka laid to rest

Tears flow among the family members, love ones, and the Peoples Democratic Party members across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and other states of the federation as the FCT PDP state chairman Mr Sunday Zakka, was laid to rest.

Speaking with newsmen immediately after the interment at his resident, Sundaba, in Kuje metropolis on Saturday, the chairman of the funeral committee, Comrade Nathaniel Mishach, described the late Zakka as a patriot who contributed considerably towards developing the roots of FCT and Nigeria’s democracy.

He noted that, late Zaka who served as youth leader, senate legislative aide and PDP FCT state chairman was a leader who was committed to contributing his quota towards the development of FCT and the nation at large.

Zakka will be remembered for his dedication to the good causes he believed in and for his commitment and contribution to the growth of Kuje and FCT democracy.

He prayed to God to comfort members of the late Zakka’s family and grant his soul eternal rest.

In his condolence massage, the FCT federal commissioner, public complaint commission (PCC), Ezekiel Dalhatu commiserate with the entire people of Kuje and FCT in particular over the demise of the political leaders.

He described the passing away of the PDP state chairman Zakka as a colossal loss to the party, considering his contributions to the party’s fortunes in the state.

“I mourned the passing of a gentleman and politician of amiable personality.
Zakka was a renowned party leader and grassroots politician who contributed his quota to developing the PDP in FCT.

“We lost a hard working, resilient, and result oriented gentleman, he stated.”
Zakka was the Coordinator of Area Council Action Committee on Aids (ACACA) in 2003, which took him to South Africa for an assignment, he joined politics in 2004 and became the local government PDP youth leader in 2007-2016, state youth leader from 2020, Philip Aduda’s coordinator twice and was given an appointment with the National Assembly Service Commission as legislative aide on 2nd October, 2015-2019, and again another appointment in the same Commission as legislative assistant on 20th November, 2019 and PDP youth leader in 2020.

Our correspondent report that late Zaka, is survived by wife and three children among other siblings.
