A hopeful All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in kogi state, Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu has said that the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue with the legacy projects of President Muhammadu Buhari if elected president come 25 February, 2023.
Alhaji Shuaibu Audu a banker with about 20 years banking experience maintained that Tinubu has a big chance of coasting in victory at the February 25 presidential polls, adding that he’s the best among the four frontrunners for the position.
In an interview with journalists, on Monday ahead of Tinubu’s campaign tour of Kogi state, Audu, a son of former Kogi state governor, Late Prince Abubakar Audu stated that with APC controlling the majority of the states in the country, it is an added advantage to the party to produce the next president of the country in person of tinubu- Shettima come February 2023.
He added that Tinubu’s role in the party especially towards the emergence of President Buhari in 2015 and 2019 respectively will give him a levelled ground to emerge victorious at the 2023 presidential poll.
On comparing Tinubu with other presidential candidates Audu say “To compare the four of them, Bola Tinubu has the chance of being the president among the four of them.
On the chances of APC in the forthcoming elections in kogi state, Audu expressed optimism that APC would retain the state with overwhelming majority stressing that,base on the tracks records of APC flagbearer,Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, kogites would vote massively for them and all APC flagbearers.
He assured that the APC would sweep all the three senatorial seats, national and state assemblies seats in kogi.
Audu appealed to the people of Kogi state to come out en-mass to receive Bola Tinubu campaign trail led by the campaign council.
On his aspiration, Shauaibu Audu said: “I’m still in kogi guber race and remains committed to my quest to fly the party’s flag in the 2023 elections”
He maintained further that with structures across the state he still remained the candidate to beat for the APC ticket and the 2023 Kogi governorship poll.
He whoever said the most important thing is to deliver Tinubu-Shetima as the president and vice president respectively come February 2023.
” I will declare my intention immediately after tinubu emerge victorious as INEC already released the primary election timetable” he said.
Audu appealed to his supporters across the state to remain committed to APC.
