TODA Organizes Annual Peace Carnival in Toto, Nasarawa state, Secretary-General, Barr. Magaji Speaks On Essence Of the Event
Secretary-General of Toto Development Association, TODA, Barr Shuaibu Magaji Labaran, has identified peace as a panacea to any meaningful development of a nation, state, or community.
Barr. Labaran who is a Prosecutor at the Federal Ministry of Justice, disclosed at Maiden Annual Carnival Day and Award Presentation organized by Toto Development Association ( TODA), said the event was part of concerted efforts by the stakeholders to attract meaningful development to the community, which can be achieved through peaceful coexistence of the various ethnic groups living in the area.
The legal luminary was speaking while fielding questions from Journalists at the sideline of the event held at the Toto Central Primary School, venue of the event noted that no nation can develop in an atmosphere of rancor and acrimony.
“I feel highly fulfilled today, witnessing one of the best events that had taken place in the history of Toto, where different ethnic groups and religious bodies come together to celebrate and showcase their rich cultural heritage.

“We have to start somewhere, this is a maiden edition of Annual Carnival Day and Award presentation organized by the TODA, being the umbrella body of all the associations in the area.”
The TODA Secretary-General also said, “the essence of this occasion was to bring together the diverse cultures and indeed tribes irrespective of the location so that they can see themselves as one”.
He said TODA as an umbrella body of all existing associations in Toto will continue to work for meaningful development and ensure peace and harmony become the new slogan the people of that particular area speak.
Barr. Magaji maintained that Toto stakeholders decided to come together, noted that this historic event out together to serve as a sense of belonging and as well reward the deserving persons, sons, and daughters of Toto who have distinguished themselves by giving back to the society.
He said the TODA award conferred on some leaders was to spur them to do more for their people as he congratulated all the recipients.
He commended the Nasarawa state government under the leadership of Engineer Abdullahi Sule for his administration’s resolve and commitment to providing positive leadership to the people of the State.
Barr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji who is also aspiring for Nasarawa west senate seat in the 2023 election equally appreciated the Executive Chairman of Toto LG, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas for his presence at the most attended event. And all the guests from within and outside Toto, Nasarawa State.
