The member representing the Toto/Gadanuke constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Honorable Usman Labaran Shafa has expressed readiness to fix the abandoned electricity back to track.
The lawmaker says reviving the system will not only illuminate the area but rather improve the socioeconomic status of the area.
The lawmaker who is deeply worried over the continued darkness being experienced by the people of his constituent over the years and decided to wade in, to save the situation.
According to him, “The affected transformers are either no longer functioning or either being vandalized by some people who do not have the technical know-how to fit it or failed to follow the actual procedures before carried out such operation.”
“I have sent down some professional engineers to the site for onward and necessary action that will lead to reviving of the electricity”.
Recall, the electricity was in the active position before the demise of the political leader, Rt. Hon. Musa Baba Onwana of the blessed memory who represented the good people of Nasarawa/Toto federal constituency used his position as a National Assembly member to link the area to a national grid.
Global Times Nigeria reports that the lawmaker since assumption office 2 years ago have been up and doing with aim of providing leadership for his people.
Empowerment & Human Capital Development:
Hon Usman Labaran Shafa has empowered men/women with 40 sewing machines, 40 grinding machines, 60 cartoons of herbicides, 30 sprayers, and 600 pieces of wrappers.
He engaged 30 youths across the sixth ward from Toto/Gadabuke Constituency, both receiving ten thousand nairas each (N10,000) every month to date. He also engaged 20 folks at his constituency office both men/women with N10,000 every month as part of his dividends.
Agriculture:
Hon Usman Labaran Shafa distributed 50 bags of fertilizer to his constituents.
Wealth Creation:
Hon Usman Labaran Shafa secured a pensionable appointment for some youths across his Constituency. Three nurses and three attendants in Dalhaltu Arab Specialist Hospital Lafia. He ameliorates the plights of many by engaging two nurses to work in General Hospital Toto as casual, both receiving N50,000 each monthly while other’s health appointments cut across Buga, Karmo, Gadabuke.
Capital Project:
Hon Usman Labaran Shafa in his effort to fix electricity in Toto and its environ installed Solar Power on the street of Shafan kwaito, Shafan Abakpa, Buga Karmo, Dudu Uku, Toto, There, Gate, and Chiji Communities.
Other included road speed bumps in Kuru and other communities.
Education:
On education, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa has demonstrated administrative ingenuity and love for putting smiles on faces through securing admission to students from the prestigious higher citadel of Institutions included Nasarawa State University Keffi, School of Nurses Lafia, College Of Education Akwanga, Nasarawa State Polytechnic Lafia, and school of Health Keffi respectively.
Water Resources:
The water they say is life, undoubtedly this happens to be one of the first and priority projects that caught the attention of Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, He facilitated the water pipes connected with a waterboard passing through some street in Toto, a feat many described as first of its kind.

He has assured of more dividends and called on the people to continue to render their support to the government of ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State.
