The Chairman of Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa state, Hon Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has condoled the Onah Of Ogye, His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Muhammed Umar Azaki, over the demised of a traditional title holder, Sarkin Samari of Toto chiefdom, Mallam Muktar Shuaibu.

Hon Tashas, in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on media and publicity, Idris Yahaya, which was made available to newsmen on Friday, described sudden passing away of Sarkin Samari as unfortunate and painful.

He said the exit of the late traditional title holder, especially considering his impact and services he had rendered to the people of Toto Chiefdom and beyond is unquantifiable.

He further described the late Sarkin Samari as a great patriot and a young community leader that has also contributed to peace, unity and development of Toto chiefdom.

“And we mourn the death of one of our traditional title holder in Toto Chiefdom, the Sarkin Samari of Toto, it is also with deep heart that the departed soul, who is a finest brains and great patriot has no doubt lived a worthy life,” the statement said.

The chairman, therefore, prayed for God to give Toto traditional council, family members and relatives the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.

“And it is on the premise that, on behalf myself, entire staff and good people of Toto Local Government area of Nasarawa state condoled with Toto traditional council over the demised of Sarkin Samari of Toto, Mallam Muktar Shuaibu,” the chairman said.

Global Times Nigeria correspondent learnt that, the death of the late Sarkin Samari of Toto Chiefdom, took place at Toto LGA of Nasarawa State in the late evening of Friday, October 29, 2021.

The remains of the deceased, Global Times Nigeria correspondent gathered has been buried according to Islamic rites.
