The chairman of the Toto local government area of Nasarawa state, Honorable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has laid the foundation-stone for the construction of the supervisory councilor’s office
Tashas, while speaking at the foundation ceremony, which took place at the local government secretariat on Monday, said the local government decided to embark to improve the well-being and to also enhance a conducive atmosphere for his newly appointed aides.
According to him, funds that are being generated from internally generated revenue of the local government will be used to embark on the construction of the project.

He stated that local government has been operating without a supervisory councilor’s office over the years, and he said his administration deemed it necessary to embark on the construction of a befitting office for them.
“This project will cost us a huge amount of money but with God, on our side and commitment we will overcome it,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the project will be completed and commissioned by the grace of God before the end of his administration.
The chairman, however, stated that his administration is committed to supporting the growth and development of the local government through infrastructural development and economic-friendly policies in the area.

He said his administration has made some achievements, especially in the area of internally Generated Revenue (IGR) reticulation of water pipes across the main road to the Army base in the area.
He also disclosed that his administration has intensified efforts in the construction of a soak-away toilet at the official residence of the civil defense corps commander situated around the general hospital in the area and among others.
“And aside that, my administration has also evacuated sand and purchased of new summer pump/wire for secretariat borehole, resuscitate abandoned revenue vehicle for an official engagement, resuscitation of the broken down legislative bus and among others,” he said.

Our correspondent report that the foundation laying ceremony was attended by the vice chairman of the local government, Hon Kwanakis H Abubakar, Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Toto LG, Alhaji Shuaibu Ahmed, Supervisory councilor for Works/Housing, Hon. Danlami Usman Datsoho, Supervisory councilor for Health, Education, SAs, SSAs, Women leader of Umaisha development area, and among some of the chairman’s aides.
