Toto LG Council Boss, Tashas Sets Up Task Force On Revenue, Charges Them On Accountability

The Chairman, Toto local government council, Honourable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas has set up a task force committee on revenue.

A statement from the Council Secretariat in Toto, Thursday, 11 November, 2021 signed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media and Publicity to the Executive Chairman, Yahaya Idris said the eleven member Committee is charged with the responsibility of sourcing, collection and depositing revenue funds to the account of Toto local government council.

The Committee has the following persons, Adamu Danladi Maikeke, Clerk of the Council’s legislature as Chairman, Yunusa Umar (Finance department), Revenue Cashier, Abubakar Usman Fodio ( personnel department), Mohammad Umar Gomina ( Agric department), Salihu Adamu ( Social Services department), Mallam Isah (works department), Abdulrahman Usman ( PHC), Hon. Abdulazeez Ahmad ( Councilor) representing Toto ward, Zubairu Umar ( Board of Internal Revenue), Maimunat Abubakar Gomina ( Class teacher), while Haruna Ibrahim Salihu ( Revenue Officer) serves as Secretary.

The committee is expected to
Identify sources of Revenue in the Local Government ament Area, check illegal revenue collections, tap all revenues and
deposit all revenue collections at the Local Government account.

The statement further state that their inauguration comes up on Monday 15th November, 2021, at the council secretariat in Toto LGA of Nasarawa State.

While congratulating the revenue officers, the council boss charged them to uphold accountability, prudence and sincerity of purpose as they discharge their duties diligently and effectively.

The Chairman therefore gave a marching order to the Director of Finance to withdraw all revenue receipts in circulation with immediate effect.
