The Executive Chairman Toto local government area of Nasarawa State, Honourable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas has commended the Chairman Toto Local Government traditional council of chiefs and Ohimegye of Opanda Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi for his diligence towards honouring some sons of the land who have distinguished themselves in all endeavours.
Tashas in a congratulatory message issued and signed by his Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media and Communications, Yahaya Idris Toto, described honorary Chieftaincy awards as a call to do more particularly to the recipients.
The Chairman who also avail himself during the conferment in Umaisha district of the council said such recognition by the community demonstrates the recognition of the humanitarian activities and leadership qualities provided by those honoured.
The council boss stated that his administration has placed premium on traditional institution owing to their roles and being closer to the people at grassroots, adding that Ohimegye in council has demonstrated his free mind and love for all for honouring those contributing assiduously to the area.
He described Alhaji Usman Abdullahi as a father who always shows loves and the progress of everyone.
He said those honoured were not only politicians but a philanthropists who have exceeded in all facets of life, urging them to continued with their good works.
Tashas assured Ohimegye of Opanda of his support with those of state government of continue providing dividends of democracy.

Alhaji Yahaya Iibrahim Osada, Director Universal Basic Education Board, Abuja, as Talba of Opanda, Alhaji Usman Shehu Osidi, Assistant General Manager, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, as Danmaliki of Opanda, Hon. Abdulmumini Muhammed Ari, member house of representatives, representing Toto/Nasarawa federal constituency, as Iya of Opanda.
While Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCTA, as Sadauki of Opanda, Comr. Ehada Mohammed, Asanuku of Opanda, Engr. Yahaya A. Bakar, Matawalen of Opanda, Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad, PDP assembly candidate for Umaisha/Ugya constituency, as Turaki Opanda.
Others includes Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu, Danmadami of Opanda, Mr. Labaran Mohammed JP, Omoku of Opanda, Omusa Baba Ohyoma, Okpetu of Opanda.
