Build up to the 2023 general elections, the emergence of Hon Uchola Omale Ojogbane of PDP is already a bargain between youthfulness and timeliness, and goodwill for the people of Idah Federal Constituency.
Uchola having won the People’s Democratic Party’s primaries in the last exercise convincingly showed his general acceptance by the party’s supporters across the Constituency consisting of Idah, Igalamela-Odolu, Ofu, and Ibaji local government areas of Kogi state.
Since the return to the current lap of Nigerian democracy in 1999, Ibaji local government held forth in the representation of the federal constituency twice in a row under Rt Honourable Frank Itaka- Ineke, a period regarded as the brightest period between 1999-2007.
For more than 15 years, the Ibaji local government area had been on recess and political holiday in terms of representation from the area, though with a series of political agitations and maneuvers.
Within the period under review, it had legitimately moved round from Igalamela-Odolu, Idah, and Ofu local government areas, therefore genuinely it is returning to Ibaji, which had the largest population with large political affiliations and exposures.
In politics and the spirit of zoning, getting elective positions remained a right and not a privilege, so the fact that Ineke was re-elected for a second term was the result of his achievements, distinct political ideology, and frugality.
Rotationally, Ibaji local government area under PDP producing Hon Uchola Omale Ojogbane was an apt decision that will be due for ratification in the current dispensation in 2023.
With this timeliness and coincidence of age and exposure, the PDP candidate in the 2023 general elections, Rt Honourable Uchola Omale Ojogbane only needs a process that is generally acceptable by the people of the federal constituency either in PDP or any other party.
Schola, an offshoot of a strong political family with good wishes across the federal constituency, from Ibaji local government area where he hails from to Idah, the family abode to Igalamela-Odolu, where he works spread to Ofu local government where a chunk of his friends resided, no doubt, Hon Uchola Omale Ojogbane will combine both youthfulness, timeliness, and goodwill from the family background as well as acceptability to clinch the forthcoming 2023 general elections into victory from Idah Federal Constituency.
Expectedly, all hands must be on deck to support the PDP House of Representatives candidate, Hon Uchola Omale Ojogbane in winning the forthcoming election in the area.
This is a great opportunity to give to the people of the area to address growing agitations about the abundance of oil, agriculture, and education among other advantages weighed down by political gimmicks.
