Upgrade of Traditional Rulers: Toto LGC Chairman Hails Engr. Sule, says it’s Judicious, Meritorious.
The Chairman Toto Local Government Council of Nasarawa State, Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has commended Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule, over the elevation of the Ohinoyi Ogye “Toto Chiefdom” to a first class status.
Toto Chiefdom is among the four second class status the Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule upgraded to the first class status alongside 18 others with varying classes.
Hon. Tashas who described the exercise as judiciously and meritoriously carried out, also noted that it is historic which can never be forgotten by the people of Toto Chiefdom .
A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) Media & Publicity to the Chairman, Yahaya Idris Toto, the Chairman thanked the Governor for the sense of history in upgrading Toto Chiefdom to its well deserved status in view of its contemporaries who have enjoyed their’s some decades ago.
He recalled that Toto Chiefdom was created during the 2nd republic under the leadership of former Plateau state Governor, the late Emancipator Chief Solomon Daushep Lar.
Tashas equally thanked the Governor for his magnanimity in upgrading other Chiefs in the local government to higher status, assuring that the people of the local government area will reciprocate by cooperating with government, unalloyed support and total loyalty to the ruling Government under the able leadership of Engineer Sule.
The Chairman also congratulated His Royal Highness, Ahaji Muhammad Umar Azaki, Ohinoyi Ogye, Toto Chiefdom as a major beneficiary of the latest development and prayer Allah to guide, protect and grant him prerequisite wisdom to pilot affairs of his chiefdom.
