We ‘II work to ensure fair, equitable treatment of all individuals – Says Abuja south lawmaker

A house of representatives member for Abuja south federal constituency, Hon Abdulrahman Ajiya, has said that he is going to tirelessly work with other stakeholders in order to ensure fair and equitable treatment of every members of his constituency irrespective of tribe, ethnic, religious or party affiliations.
He said regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, he will advocate for the most vulnerable among his constituents, he will champion their rights and create a society that values compassion and empathy.
Ajiya, stated this a reception organized for him on Saturday, over his inauguration as house of representatives member of for the Abuja south federal constituency.
He said the task ahead of him enormous, hence, achieving such stride must be through collective effort of stakeholders especially for lamarkers that represented Abuja south constituency.
“And that calls for collective responsibilities in ensuring that we attain the FCT of our dreams become necessary so as to meet the yearning and aspirations of the people of Abuja south federal constituency and FCT at large,” he said.
He said every human being have shortcomings, hence, there was need to come together to join him in order to steer leadership of the legislature that will impact positively on lives of the good people of Abuja south.
Ajiya, however, noted that the celebration of his victory at the polls and inauguration as a lawmaker was to commemorate a pivotal moment in political history of Abuja south.
“It is a new era, a new chapter of progress and possibility. With deep humility and immense gratitude, I stand before you as your elected representative, entrusted with the profound responsibility of serving the people of Abuja south federal constituency,” he added.
He, therefore, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Almighty God and the remarkable individuals who have made the journey possible and the tireless campaigners, dedicated volunteers, and passionate supporters.
“Your unwavering belief in the power of democracy has propelled us forward, and it is with profound gratitude that I accept this honor on behalf of us all, ” he said.
Also speaking, the APC senatorial candidate in the FCT during the February, 25, 2023 general election, Hon Zakari Angulu Dobi, stressed on the need to come together irrespective of party, tribe, ethnic and religious affiliations to support the lawmaker for the betterment of the people of Abuja south and FCT at large.
“The elections are over, hence, we must find a place in our heart especially those that were hurt both known and unknown to give each other so that we all come together to support our lawmaker for the betterment of all of us,” he said.
