.…As Council Boss, Monarch, Lawmaker begs FG to post NYSC members to Toto LG for National assignments.

The Executive Chairman of Toto local government area in Nasarawa State, Honorable Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, has praised Governor Abdullahi Sule’s giant strides in the area, saying that his feats in securing the LG from vices such as kidnapping and criminal activities have positioned it as a haven for investment and all other commercial activities thrive in.

Tashas emphasized that the incidence of kidnap in the area is now a thing of the past, adding: “I know that with Governor Abdullahi Sule we have secured continuity of good governance in Nasarawa State”, following his remarkable achievements despite the nation’s economic challenges.

The council boss spoke when he led Toto LG stakeholders to Umaisha on Sallah homage to Ohimegye in council, HRH. Alhaji Usman Abdullahi and Chairman, Toto local government traditional council of chiefs on Saturday.

Global Times Nigeria reports that Stakeholders in the Toto Local Government area have collectively called on the authorities of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to commence posting its members to the area for national assignments to enable the people to benefit from the scheme.

The stakeholders said the call has become necessary because the security situation in the area that make the authorities of the NYSC stop posting Corps members is now a thing of the past hence the need for calls for revising the decision to enable the people of the area benefit from the scheme.

There were the collective views of the Chairman Toto LG Hon Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas, the Ohimege Opanda HRH Alh Usman Abdullahi, and member representing Toto/Gadabuke at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon Usman Labaran Shafa urging the federal government to consider their request and make life more meaningful for their people.

They have all agreed that the area is Safe now and security of NYSC Members is guaranteed hence the need for the state government to come into the matter to ensure that the decision is revised once and for all.

Other issues brought forward were the need for people to be security conscious, watch out for strangers, and the need for the Local Government Authority to strengthen its security system considering what is happening in their border, LG with the FCT.

The Royal Father Ohimege Opanda however commended the effort of the Chairman Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas so far and urged him to sustain the spirit.
