The Kogi East Acting Zonal Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Muhammed Nasiru Alfa has commended the Senator representing the zone at the National Assembly, Abuja, Sen. Isah Jibrin Echocho for delivering his campaign promises to the people of Kogi East.
Hon. Alfa made the acknowledgment during the empowerment program, organised for the Youths and Women of Ofu Local Government Area by the distinguished Senator, at Ejule. He remarked that the program of this nature is the first of its kind, ever since the return to Democracy in 1999.
The APC zonal boss recalled that Kogi East has had many Senators in the past, but none could be measured with the incumbent Isah Jibrin Echocho, because of his remarkable achievement within the few years in office.
Alfa noted that, in the past two years, the senator had carried out substantial programs that is aimed at equiping the people with sustained skills and capacity, but hasn’t touched the targeted audience. He however, promised that under his stewardship, all resources released for the party members shall be judiciously utilized.
He exhorted the distinguish senator to continue to give the people of Kogi East proportional representation.
In his words, “we thank God for the life of distinguish Senator Jibrin Echocho for shifting the paradigm in the body politics of Kogi East. He has many ongoing projects across the nine local governments, to his credit, but for the first time, Ofu People are benefitting from his representation. We are proud of him”.
“He has succeeded in rekindling our hope and firm belief that, they are people that can still be trusted with political power and leadership position”.
“Like Oliver twist, we encourage our senator to do more for the people”.
