The CEDO 4 GYB2PYB, Kogi Central Chapter has condemned the claims made by Concerned Edo Citizen Forum regarding the call of the Nigerian Youths urging Governor Bello of Kogi State to join the presidential race come 2023.
In a statement made available to news men in Lokoja, by the media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Mr. Ibrahim J Muhammed, according to him, The claim was initiated by people who are oblivious of the recent developments in the state, noting some tangible projects which Gov. Bello’s government has been able to initiate and complete within five years of his stewardship.
The group state that, one of the priority of a responsive government is adequate security of lives and properties of her citizens, Which Bello’s adminstration has scored beyond expected marks, Insecurity which was at its peak before the emergence of Gov. Yahaya Bello had positively metamorphosed into a thing of the past.
” In Kogi state today, there are numerous achievements of Gov. Bello’s government; massive road construction across the senatorial districts, The educational sector is revamped to international standard, bold steps taken by the current government saves the higher institution from the ASUU strike, These are few of his numerous achievements recorded by this present administration. His stance against the Global conspiracy, Covid-19 which has brought the national economy to her kneel as a result of lockdown has so far been commended by many Nigerians” He said.
Mr. Jamiu went further to express discomfort and worries over willingness of some youths to be used as tools in the hands of people who do not mean well for the nation, noting that the present condition of the country requires a young, vibrant and experienced youth who is dearly passionate about restoring the nation back on track.
The harmonious relationship between the tribes in Kogi State under the umbrella of EBIGO which symbolizes unity is enjoyed under the leadership of Kogi State government.
The group further highlighted the importance of Bello’s adminstration which has recognise the inclusion of women by 50% in governance, youths and people living with disability which is acknowledged by International communities.
