100 Days: FHA Mortgage Bank Presents Houses To Medical Doctors.

The Federal Housing Authority Mortgage Bank FHAMB said the bank has provided shelter to over 40,000 Nigerians through direct off takers and partnerships under the National Housing Fund, NHF.

The Managing Director of the Bank, Hayatudeen Awal Atiku FNIQS made this disclosure on Thursday during the presentation of keys of completed residential houses to some medical doctors at the FHA headquarters in Abuja.

He restated the commitment of the Bank to continue to provide affordable housing to Nigerians across the country.

According to the Bank’s Managing Director, as one of the Primary Mortgage Institution PMI, it assessed over N10 Billion for 62 Nigerians as mortgage loans to enable them own their houses.

The positive development was in line with the present administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to hit the ground running, through provisions of affordable houses to Nigerians.

He promised that the Bank will continue to provide affordable houses to eligible Nigerians among other outlets with employment, income and industrialization using the provision of shelter by the Bank.

For security and serene environment, the Bank also introduced highbrid Eco gas and Solar panel arrangements in line with the presidential directives.

Earlier, The Managing Director, Chief Executive officer of Federal Housing Authority FHA, Senator Gbenga Ashafa assured Nigerians that the agency will continue to provide affordable shelter to all strata of Nigerians.

He said the authority has provided 748 housing units that was already over subscribed at Zuba, and already building another estate in Bwari close to the Law School.

“We are also embarking on a ground breaking ceremony of another housing estate in Lugbe phase 11, to provide affordable accommodation to Nigerians.” Senator Ashafa said.

Senator Ashafa maintained that the agency in accordance with it’s mandate and presidential directive had provided houses through mortgage facilities, partnerships and direct construction by the agency.

He said the provision of affordable houses through mortgage was to discourage corruption and hardships across all ramifications.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dr Arome Adejoh Christopher lauded the Bank, FMBN and Federal Housing Authority FHA for making their dream of owing a house come true.

The medical doctor reiterated the commitment of the professionals to serve the country, stating that shelter was one of the problems that had affected doctors exit from the country.

“We are grateful to the Authority, FMBN and the Bank for this gesture, as the positive development will discourage doctors and medical professionals exiting the country.”

“We urge Nigerians to have confidence in the National Housing Fund NHF, mortgage arrangements by the Bank and the Federal Housing Authority FHA.”
