2023: Abia leaders lauds Ogah’s sterling leadership acumen, insists APC poised to form next state government

Leaders and critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress from Abia state, have lauded the sterling leadership qualities of the Gubernatorial candidate of the party for the coming 2023 general elections, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah.

This latest statement by the party stakeholders is coming barely a week ago, an Abuja high court affirmed the immediate past Minister of State for Mines and Stteel Development, Uche Ogah as the authentic APC gubernatorial candidate in Abia state for the coming election in 2023.

Our correspondent recalls that the federal high court sitting in Abuja had on 11th November 2022, sacked the immediate past Pro-chancellor and the Chairman of the Governing Board Council of University of Nigeria Nsukka in Enugu state, Ikechi Emenike, and affirmed Ogah as the authentic All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial candidate in Abia State.

The presiding judge, Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako, while delivering her judgement in the suit by Ogah, held that the indirect primary election which produced Emenike was in total disobedience to a letter forwarded by the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress to INEC that it would adopt a direct mode primary election in the state.

Speaking earlier on the backdrops of outcome of the court ruling which affirmed Ogah as APC Governorship candidate in Abia State, the cross section of party stakeholders, maintained that Ogah has demonstrated capacities in public and private sector-driven administration which has yielded industrialization, and encouraged youths, men and women empowerment, and as well as engendered attraction of the building of government’s impactful projects in Abia and beyond, aimed at enhancing the welfare of the people.

Rt Hon Stanley Ohajiruka, a former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, while reacting to the recent court judgement in an interview with journalists in Umuahia, on Thursday, applauded Uche Ogah’s affirmation by the court, and also stated that APC is poised and ready to win majority of political offices in the state in 2023.

Ohajiruka who was also an ex-member of the house of representatives that represented Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency, described Ogah as a man with so much capacity to lead Abia state.

“This young man is everything Abia needs to ensure that Abia develop and be like other states in the comity of nation.

“I can assure you that it is going to be people driven, youth driven, women driven and everyone, including our brothers and sisters in diaspora.

“Abia is definitely going to have a new dawn in the political ferment in the state”.

Continuing, the party chieftain said, “He build confidence in APC in Abia state. APC is not governing Abia but PDP and Abians are craving for change. And that is why Dr Uche Ogah has presented himself to serve.

“The people yearning for change in Abia want a new leaf of life and that is what Dr Ogah is going to do”, Ohajiruka added.

Also speaking, the current member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency at the house of representatives, Hon Sam Onuigbo commended Nigeria judiciary for symbolizing the last hope of ordinary man in the society, and regretted the attempt by undemocratic forces to truncate the will of party members which they demonstrated by electing Uche Ogah as Governorship candidate of the APC at the concluded primary elections held in Abia state.

Rep Onuigbo who doubled as Abia central senatorial candidate of the APC in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, applauded Ogah for his unshaken courage to seek justice over illegalities meted to him by enemies of democracy, urging party members and teeming supporters to remain steadfast and undeterred in their support to the Abia governorship standard-bearer of the party and other candidates of the party to enable them provide dividends of democracy to every doorsteps of Abia electorates when they are elected into offices in 2023.

On his part, youth leader and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Kelvin Ugorji said the ruling by the high court has vindicated the overwhelming supports and votes Uche Ogah enjoys among the majority of party members and teeming supporters, and indeed, entire Abia people, confiding that the ex-Nigerian minister possessed the needed capacity, requisite competence, ability and expertise to address myriads of challenges impeding the economic growth and Infrastructural development of Abia state.

He lauded Ogah for his unwavering courage and dodgeded spirit in pursuing justice against illegalities, expressing optimism that the gubernatorial candidate of the party would lead APC to resounding victory having demonstrated uncommon capacities in all spheres of lives.

“Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah kam Eso. He have all it takes to govern Abia. Go and tell your people”,added.

Ugorji however called on electorates in Abia state to rally round and cast their bulk votes to Ogah during the coming 2023 election, as he also reiterated, has the key to economic rejuvenation and Infrastructural growth of Abia state when elected as governor in 2023.

Baring her mind further on the affirmation of gubernatorial candidancy of the ex-minister of state for mines, a former House of Assembly aspirant of All Progressives Congress for Umuahia east state constituency during 2018 primary elections in Abia State, Lady Christy Uche-Nwoko said the recent judgement by Abuja high court which affirmed Ogah as authentic gubernatorial candidate of the party has restored hope and confidence of people in APC.

She insisted that APC has come to stay in Abia state and would win majority of elective political offices in the state come 2023 because of the quality of candidates it fielded for the forthcoming polls.

Mrs Nwoko who described Ogah as the man of the people who is loved by the large population of indigent Abia citizens and residents for his philanthropy, and the industrialization he brought in the state which had offered thousands of youths, men and women jobs, urging eligible voters in Abia state to cast their votes to Uche Ogah and all other candidates of the APC in next year general elections.a
