The incumbent house of representatives member for Abuja’s south federal constituency, Hon Hassan Usman Sokodabo, has formally received his certificate of return after winning the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for the 2023 general election.
Sokodabo emerged as the PDP’s flag-bearer for Abuja’s south federal constituency during the party’s primary election held last month in Kuje town hall after he defeated three other aspirants.
Chairman of the PDP in the FCT, Mr. Sunday D Zaka, while presenting the certificate to the legislative member at the state secretariat of the party in Abuja, on Monday, expressed confidence that the party will emerge victorious during the forthcoming general election.
He congratulated the house of representatives candidate for his emergence at the primaries, even as he called on PDP members and supporters to step up for the party to come out victorious in the general election.
“Even though, our party PDP has always worked together as one family. And we must come together, especially our stakeholders, party stalwarts, and other aspirants to ensure we unite and work victory of all candidates across the FCT during the general election,” he said.
Responding, the PDP house of representatives candidate for Abuja’s south federal constituency, Hon Hassan Usman Sokodabo, expected appreciation from the party’s delegates that enhanced his victory at the primaries.
He, however, extend his hands of fellowship to his opponents that lost out primaries, while urging them and their supporters to join hands with him for the party to emerge victorious at the polls.
He pledged to continue with the good work has been doing for the good people of Abuja south, especially in the area of infrastructural development and health sectors.
