Benue Governorship Hopeful, Mr. Akase received a rousing Reception organized by supporters at the Konshisha PDP decamping ceremony.

Hundreds of supporters Monday trooped out to receive frontline Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governorship aspirant in Benue State, Mr Terver Akase to Tse-Agberagba the headquarters of Konshisha Local Government Area for the mega decamping ceremony where thousands defected from other political parties to the PDP.
The jubilant supporters sang and danced as they ushered in Mr Akase who was acknowledging cheers from the crowd as he walked into the arena.
Speaking to newsmen, the PDP 2023 guber hopeful reaffirmed his readiness to harness opportunities in the agriculture and Information and Communication Technology, ICT sectors for youth empowerment.

He said the value chain available in the agriculture and ICT sectors is sufficient to provide economic empowerment for the youth, pointing out that the youths will be trained in content development and supported to invest in modern agriculture and entrepreneurship.
Akase stated that 2023 was a defining year for young people to actively participate in leadership and governance.
“The year 2023 is a defining one for young people, who must show genuine interest in taking leadership roles in our country. This is why the PDP is calling on all young Nigerians to join in the task of rebuilding the nation,” he said.
Governor Samuel Ortom in a remark said he remained committed to “working in line with aspirations of Benue people,” stating that he owed the people commitment at all times.
The Governor who was then in the company of the Senator for Benue North-East, Dr Gabriel Suswam, lauded the defectors for joining the PDP and assured them of inclusion, emphasizing that the party would field a credible governorship candidate for the 2023 election.
State Chairman of the PDP, Sir John Ngbede had earlier welcomed the decampees into the PDP fold and urged them to contribute to the growth of the party to clinch victory in next year’s general election.
Others who spoke at the ceremony were, Commissioner of Education, Dr Sarwuan Tarnongu, Chairman Konshisha Local Government, Hon James Jirgba and the lead defectors, former State Assembly Member, Rt Hon Shimawua Azaigba among others.
