The Presidential and National Assembly elections were successfully and peacefully conducted in Kogi Central Senatorial district under free and fair environment.
Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, who was among the earliest voters at his polling unit 011 at Okene eba in Agassa Ahachi ward , commended the security operatives, INEC officials, youths, women and all the electorate over the successful and peaceful conduct of the elections.

He expressed optimism that the election that started peacefully will end successfully devoid of rancour and acrimony, urging the entire citizens of the state to tolerate themselves so as to imbibe the culture of civility.
Bello disclosed that he was almost confused when information reached him that the BVAS machines developed problem, but he was cheered up by the good news that the defects have been detected and rectified.
Seeing the hundreds of voters that turned out at the Agassa Ahachi ward, the Governor, noted that over 90% of the registered voters will exercise their franchise.
At the polling units visited, political party agents, polling officers as non sensitive and sensitive materials were present for the smooth conduct of the poll.
