Ahead of 2023 elections, a renowned international businessman, grassroot politician, and stalwart of governing All Progressives Congress, APC, in Koton-karfe/Kogi local government area of the State, Friday, adopted and endorsed Barrister Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku as his sole candidate for APC House of Representatives primaries and subsequent general elections.

Chief AbdulHameed Danjuma Gegu, who formerly served as Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on political affairs to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, expressed optimism that the former Chief Administrator of the Koton-Karfe/Kogi local government area is his preferred choice and hope of the masses, calling on the people of Lokoja/Koto federal constituency to do same in the interest of fairness, equity, progress, development, and unity of purpose.

Alhaji Danjuma Gegu said his decision to support Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku is based on his integrity, sincerity of purpose, entrepreneurial accomplishments, and strong belief in inter-governmental collaboration and partnership to sustain the much need dividends of democracy, peace, and serenity in the Koto/Lokoja federal constituency.

Alhaji Danjuma Gegu stated this in a telephone interview with our correspondent where he said, the renowned legal Icon and the political juggernaut of his time will do well if given the chance to serve.

“Sincerely speaking, I am humbled by the calibre of people within the Lokoja/Koto federal constituency supporting this great man. I thanked God for finding him worthy through His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello. The task ahead of us going into the next phase is very crucial. We must be able to bring in our wealth of experience and energy to bear in delivering this popular aspirant.”

According to him, Barr. Tanko’s emergence will lead to massive job creation to stem the tide of unemployment and as well to complement the state government’s effort in ensuring more development for his people.

“Barr. Tanko will provide needed service to the people of Lokoja/Koto. He is ready for a public debate with any other aspirants on governance and job creation with specifics on timelines for implementation”.

Alhaji Danjuma Gegu quoted Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku has said Small and Medium Enterprises, and SMEs, remain the engine room or even the advanced and developed economies, promising to reposition agriculture to play a major role as one of the biggest employers of labor. He promised to enthrone the sustainability of the prevailing peace, reiterating the need for the peace Governor Yahaya Bello has built in the State to be sustained.

He called on residents of the Lokoja/Koto federal constituency to embark on a vigorous campaign that will translate to victory and subsequently lead to a massive transformation of the area.

He equally unveiled some life touching achievements of Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku when he served as Chief Administrator of Kogi LG, includes grading some kilometers of roads to link some communities to the others, provision of potable water, promoting cultural heritage, educational support programs, security, women, and youths empowerment among other things. He said.

He commended Governor Bello for his diligence in rewarding politicians with leadership opportunities to showcase and explore their talents.
