2023 general election: Group begs Abia lawmaker, Jerry Uzosike to seek reelection.

A pressure group, Umuahia League of Professionals (ULOP), has called on the member representing Umuahia South Constituency at the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Jerry Uzosike to make himself available for a second term in office ahead of the 2023 general election.
This was even as the group applauded Uzosike for the effective representation and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Umuahia South local government area of Abia state and as well as developmental strides visibly recorded on an assumption of office.
The ULOP call was coming on the heels of an avalanche of demands by leaders and constituents of Umuahia South local government area of the state for the Abia lawmaker to seek renewal of mandate to enable him to continue and consolidate on his laudable gains for good of the people.
In a statement jointly signed by its chairman, Nnabugo Emmanuel, and the Publicity Secretary, Chinedu Emeruwa, forwarded to journalists in Umuahia, the ULOP disclosed that it will embark on the thorough mobilization of people in every length and breadths of Umuahia South Constituency aimed at compelling Jerry Uzosike to heed to their call and yearnings for more responsive representation.

The group also appreciated the lawmaker for the numerous meaningful projects he completely attracted and executed in Olokoro, Umuopara, Ubakala which according to ULOP, had given the entire constituency Infrastructural facelifts, adding that the time is now for the constituents to reciprocate the tremendous gestures of Uzosike by reelecting him if he decides to seek for another mandate in the coming 2023 general election.
The ULOP further expressed total confidence in Uzosike in ushering more democratic dividends to the doorsteps of the masses if given another chance to represent Umuahia south constituency at the Abia House of Assembly, lauding him also for remaining steadfast despite unfruitful and failed machinations of few disgruntled political elements to discredit the monumental projects of the legislator.
“It is not in doubt that he has lived up beyond expectations with responsive and effective representations that has greatly fostered meaningful development in every stratum of umuahia south constituency”, the group added.
