A pro democracy group In Ankpa Federal Constituency,’ New Leadership Forum’ has passed a vote of confidence on the current member representing the area,Rt Honourable Abdullahi Ali (Halims) of APC, urging him to re-contest in 2023.

This development according to the members in a statement signed by the secretary , Mohammed Al -amin said the area has never had it so good since the inception of democracy in the last 22 years.

According to ‘New Leadership Forum’ this is a signal that Ankpa Federal Constituency will not be vacant in 2023 because of the monumental performance of the federal lawmaker under APC.

“We are not unaware of his empowerment, education, agriculture, capacity building,skill development and charitable programs in the last two years.”

“It is also to the public knowledge his zeal that created employment and empowerment opportunities to all and sundry, as well as provision of transformers, boreholes, drugs for clinics in the localities.”

He advised other party members to allow the area produce another ranking federal Lawmaker since the exit of Senator Atai Aidoko from the green chamber.

“As a committee chairman,the federal Lawmaker has attracted many development to the federal Constituency in the last two years.’

“He has spoken on the need to extend Makurdi Adoka Road to Abejukolo, Bagana, linking Oweto bridge and roads.”

This is in addition to prevailing on the federal government to release more funds for the early completion of Oweto bridge and the awarded Makurdi -Adoka- Ojoku roads to open up the area for commercial and business activities.
