The Christabel Support Group, CSG, has been drumming support for the candidacy of Hon Christabel Eremah Ekwu to be nominated for the House of Assembly Akoko-Edo Constituency 1 under PDP. According to the coordinator of the group, Mr. Sanni Ojo, who spoke to journalists at Igarra yesterday said, “I am speaking to the Constituency 1 delegates.

History will be nice to us if we find it honorable to nominate Hon Christabel Eremah Ekwu as our PDP candidate for Constituency 1 because apart from being a dedicated and loyal party member, she is very competent for the job of representing us at the Edo State House of Assembly.

We want to believe the delegates will pick her as the right choice for the job because she is the most marketable aspirant.

No one can deny the fact that she is widely accepted by all and represents the ideals of PDP as a Party. She is very responsible, respectful, youthful, and accessible.”

Mr. Sanni Ojo went on to advise the delegates that what should inform their choice should be who among the contestants can represent the best interest of the Party and the people of Constituency 1.

He said the delegates should act right by nominating Hon Christabel for the interest of the people.

He added that the people need true representation so that the youth, aged parents, and women can feel the dividends of democracy in the much-abandoned communities that make up Constituency 1.

“In Constituency 1, what you see is pitiable conditions of the few infrastructures. All these are concerns for Hon Christabel and she has promised to act on the deficit if voted in.

Yes, she has been using her connection at her level to influence some changes, she must however be voted into power to use the instrumentality of government to do more.

She will be focused mainly on youth employment, women empowerment, welfare for the elderly, and other public and social interventions,” Sanni said.
