2023: Okowa To Preside Over South-South Governors Forum Meeting In Port Harcourt

Chairman of South-South Governors Forum and Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, would on Sunday 16th and Monday 17th January 2022 preside over the first meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The scheduled meeting is widely publicized by the host governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike Esq, and is likely to deliberate on the region’s strategies in line with Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, unalloyed commitment to take Nigeria back from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The governors of the South-South states had in previous meetings declared their resolve to establish a regional security outfit, ensure full implementation of 13% derivation, and accelerate the region’s economic development. Subsequently, it ordered BRACED to work out strategies and modalities for deliberation and implementation.
APC party under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari is widely believed to have mismanaged the nation’s economy, abysmal performance in solving increased insecurity problems and mortgaging the future of Nigeria through unnecessary huge foreign debts and multifaceted overwhelming foreign loans.
Okowa and his brother Governors in the South-South geopolitical zone shall deliberate on issues that will facilitate socio-economic development of the region, security matters, 2023 politics and may issue a communiqué and/or address the nation via the media after this all this important meeting held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
