2. We youth members of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from the seven Local Government Areas of Benue North West Senatorial District under the aegis of PDP G-7 Youth Forum, hereby pass a Vote of Confidence on the leader of party in Benue State, His Excellency, Chief Samuel Ortom and reaffirm our undiluted loyalty to him and the State Working Committee of the party led by the Acting State Chairman, Hon. Isaac Mffo.

3. The PDP G-7 Youth Forum has reviewed with deep concern the recent happenings in the Benue State chapter of the party and frowns at the despicable conduct of the suspended State Secretary of the party, Dr. Joseph Nyam wherein he signed a press statement purporting that the leader of the party in the state, Chief Samuel Ortom, Hon. Isaac Mffo, Hon. Clement Ashongu, and Hon. Bemgba Iortyom had been suspended from the party.

4. The suspended party State Secretary, Joseph Nyam was not only engaging in illegality and mischief but was also being reckless in his outing, and such a behaviour has no place in our great party.

5. It should be noted that nine (9) out of 13 members of the State Working Committee of PDP in Benue State had earlier suspended the State Chairman of the party, John Ngbede; State Secretary, Joseph Nyam and State Organizing Secretary, Moses Audu for acts injurious to the overall interest of the party. Their suspension was legitimately issued within the ambit of the law. The suspended party officials lack the constitutional power to suspend any member while their suspension subsists.

6. Consequently, the PDP G-7 Youth Forum cautions the suspended individuals to respect the decision of the State Working Committee and present themselves before the disciplinary committee of the party and desist from unnecessarily creating tension within the PDP family in Benue State.

7. We are confident and proud of the proactive and people-oriented leadership style and capacity of His Excellency Chief Samuel Ortom who has been exceptional in handling the affairs of PDP in the state with the support of other leaders of the party.

8. We are well aware that some individuals within the party are being sponsored by external persons who have the intention of coming into the party to take over its structures.

9. We must emphasize that the G-7 Youth Forum will not fold its hands and watch unscrupulous persons destabilize our party or hijack it to serve the interests of their sponsors.

10. Consequently, we urge the public to disregard the shenanigans of the elements who are fueling crises within the Benue State chapter of PDP as theirs is mere riddance to bad rubbish.

11. In addition, we demand that the suspended State Secretary of the party Joseph Nyam should tender an unreserved apology to the entire members of the party in the state for attempting to mislead the party and respect the valid decision of the State Working Committee and desist from further activities aimed at causing disaffection within the PDP.

12. Lastly, we call on all good spirited PDP members to join hands with the leader of the party, H.E Dr. Samuel Ortom and other leaders of the party who love its progress to reposition the party in the state.
