Gov Obaseki harps on stakeholders cooperation to win Edo Guber

Edo state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has harped on synergy among party faithfuls to win the forthcoming Edo state governorship elections.

The admonition was sequel to engagement with stakeholders of the party in the residence of Asjam at Igarra within the week.

The governor who used the occasion to settle internal wranglings within the party noted that winning the elections starts from the units even as he described Akoko-Edo people as intelligent.

According to him, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I have no doubt whatsoever that your council chairman, Hon Tajudeen Alade Suleman Esq can deliver owing to his obvious track records so far. He is tested, trusted and a man with capacity. Cooperate with him to achieve the desired victory for our great party” the governor counselled.

On his part, the Deputy Governor, Engr Omobayo Marvelous Godwins appreciated the governor for his appointment, noting that it is a paradigm shift from the old norm where Akoko-Edo have been playing a second fiddle in the scheme of things since it was created in 1963.

In his vote of thanks, former chairman ever of Edo state waste management board, Chief Okomayin Monday Sule Akpeji Akomevi Onotuturuma, appreciated the governor for the many development he has attracted to the local government area, pointing out the recent appointment of an Akoko-Edo son as D G and foundation laying stone of Edo state Polytechnic school of mining and management Igarra campus stands out.

The PDP leader said Akoko-Edo people will work assiduously to deliver Barr Asue Ighodalo and Barr Osarodion Ogie during Edo state governorship elections for continuity of government’s projects in the local government area, while praying for journey mercies for all.

Also speaking, Edo state PDP governorship flag bearer, Barr Dr. Asue Ighodalo, said the time has come to access good roads and enjoy other social amenities as citizens of the country, promising good governance.
