Omala Local Government Scribe, Hon. Simeon Omale (JP) has ascribed the level of acceptance of the local government Chairmanship candidate under the All Progressives Congress, APC party for October 19 election, Hon. Edibo Ameh Mark as divine.
In a statement, the Secretary said, “the coming on board of Hon. Edibo as a Caretaker Chairman, now Chairmanship candidate is a blessing for the good people of Omala Local Government Area. He emerged when the council was in dire need of sincere leadership”
“Over time, he has proved his mettle in the handling of arrays of security concerns bothering the area. His peaceful disposition is unquestionable. He managed tough situations as though they were easy. He carried the burden of providing a serene environment as though they were cheap. He has deployed his tact to amicably resolve, pacify and quell tension in some quarters. Notable among them is the Bagana and environ crisis, the Echa youth quagmire, Oti-Olokwu imbroglio, among several others”.
“A critical look at infrastructure development, women and youth empowerment, health care and education. The few months Hon. Mark held sway, showed he scored high in those areas”.
“Upon assumption of office as a Caretaker Committee Chairman, He quickly swung into action by removing encumbrances that may hinder smooth operation in the local government Secretariat, which invariably showed his civil servant and work friendliness. Giving the Secretariat premises a beautiful sight to behold”.
“Mark Noble”, as he is fondly called, is a great unifier. This was put to test in his resolve to keep the APC party in Omala in one piece, bridging the enthno-religious gap and uniting the entire people of the area under a single roof with primary focus on development”.
‘A politician who pays deaf ears to hearsay is a pathfinder’. I therefore, on this note call on all Omala people both at home and in the diaspora to please come out enmass and vote for the candidate of APC, Hon. Edibo Ameh Mark to emerge as Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Area come 19th of October, 2024″.
