“Edo cannot rise under Okpebholo” – Mayaki

Senator Monday Okpebholo

…Asserts APC candidate’s character contradicts his campaign slogan

Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC’s nominee for the forthcoming September 21st governorship election, has been depicted as the antipode of his campaign’s central message, necessitating help himself, which raises concerns about his ability to positively impact Edo State.

Senator Okpebholo, representing Edo Central Senatorial District, has recently made headlines not for his policies, but for his inability to manage his personal life. Repeatedly challenged to appear in public with his wife, Okpebholo has refused.

Allegations have surfaced that he has been through two separate marriages, both of which ended in failure. Recently, a photograph surfaced showing one of his wives and children, but Okpebholo himself was conspicuously absent from the image.

Visitors to Okpebholo’s home have described it as cold and devoid of familial warmth, with some even likening him to an infidel who has driven his own family away. He is said to lead a mysterious life, unable to maintain a relationship with any woman, making it difficult to see how he could foster unity or leadership in a state as diverse as Edo.

Mayaki pointed to a biblical verse, stating, “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.”

“Do not be deceived – Edo State cannot rise under Monday Okpebholo. His campaign slogan is nothing more than empty words, for even Okpebholo himself is in desperate need of help to rise, more so than he could ever offer to the people.”
