Okpebholo Is Starting to Confess the Truth — By John Mayaki

Senator Monday Okpebholo, Edo State APC Governorship candidate

Even the most skilled juggler can’t keep the truth from dropping when their hands are full of lies. Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC suffered a Freudian slip at a recent campaign event, where he unwittingly confessed the plan of his party – and that includes his masters – to provide the people of Edo state with insecurity.

His elder-tutor, Adams Oshiomhole, and running mate, Dennis Idahosa, were visibly embarrassed that their puppet couldn’t keep the secret. Where Edo people previously had suspicion, evidence has now been supplied. Observers, in fact, contend that there were pointers before Okpebholo – the badly programmed robot – let the cat out of the bag. There was the terror unleashed on Airport Road in Benin, which sadly took the life of Okpebholo’s security attaché. Another one was shot in Ososo, Akoko-Edo local government area when Okpebholo visited and just now, we are told another one happened in Ekperi.

The APC in Edo has been accused of playing both arsonist and fireman. The usual style is to start the trouble and raise the loudest alarm. It is the party of thugs, retired cultists, and the infamous “lions and tigers.” Wherever they go, destruction trails closely behind. Yet they lay claim to peace and cry wolf – a most terrible act of gaslighting in which the people are ordered to disregard the evidence of their eyes. Okpebholo has shattered the illusion for anyone who was previously deceived.

If given power, the lions and tigers will roam freely. With the institution of state behind them, they will no longer need to pretend or put on an act. The insecurity will be provided on a large scale, unencumbered, as markets, farms, and schools are invaded by agents of darkness. When this happens, Okpebholo would have delivered on his pledge, carrying out the wishes of his masters, who only ever thrive in chaos.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Edo people have the truth. If you want insecurity, vote APC on September 21st. But if you value peace and development, then PDP’s Asue Ighodalo is the only available choice and viable option.
