Kogi LG APC Sets Up Campaign Council Ahead of Council Polls

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kogi Local Government chapter has inaugurated its campaign council on Sunday, September 29, 2024, ahead of the October 19, 2024, council elections, urging members and supporters to diligently deliver their units.
The campaign council comprises eleven standing committees, each led by a chairman with support from a secretary and members.
Barr Muhammed Musa Tanko Osuku, on behalf of the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, urged campaign council members to put in the necessary hard work to secure victories in their units and wards in the October 19th council polls.
Barr. Osuku, who is the Executive Chairman of Kogi State Service Civil Commission, lauded Hon. Bashir Gegu’s outstanding leadership and restated the committee’s firm commitment, noting that all party members must deliver their units and wards.
The former Chief Administrator of Kogi LG praised Hon. Bashir Gegu’s outstanding leadership and reiterated the committee’s unshakeable loyalty, dedication, and support.
Speaking at the inauguration, Director General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Ibrahim Bashir, expressed satisfaction and underscored the crucial role of diligence in securing victories over the opposition at various unit and ward levels.
“I have full faith in the committee’s composition and am certain of our capacity to fulfill our obligations. I formally accept this responsibility and commit to exerting every effort to guarantee success, he stated.”
Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Onah, Chairman of the APC for Kogi Local Government, extolled Honorable Bashir Gegu’s exceptional leadership, describing him as a leader of exceptional merit.
Onah expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would emerge victorious and sweep the elections clean, given the party’s solid structure.
He also confirmed that in the days ahead, the party would receive notable defectors, whose strategic presence would greatly strengthen the party’s chances of emerging victorious.
Similarly, Hon. Abdulmalik Musa, the APC council candidate, has made a steadfast pledge to the party and the Local Government’s constituents, promising to deliver on expectations if elected.
He also seized the opportunity to commend Hon. Bashir Gegu for consistently upholding the council’s interests and reaffirming his allegiance to the party leadership.
Hon. Idris Aliyu Maikudi, member representing Kogi Local Government State Constituency, underscored the significance of stakeholder unity for achieving a resounding electoral success in his vote of thanks.
He reaffirmed his faith in Hon. Bashir Gegu’s leadership ability to sustain the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) winning streak.
