2027: Dr Galadima Received Communique To Run For Senate Again
The 2023 People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Senatorial Candidate for Nasarawa West, ESV (Dr) Umar Musa Galadima, met with a political group known as Galadima Ambassadors in Keffi, the headquarters of the zone, and was presented with a communique to re contest for Senate in 2027 election.
It would be recalled that towards the end of last year, the Galadima Ambassadors group, comprising youth leaders and party members across the five LGAs in the zone, made a request to the 2023 PDP Senatorial candidate to recontest in 2027.
A group led by Comr Idris Ojoko formally presented a communique to Dr Galadima, inviting him to recontest for the Senate seat of Nasarawa West Senatorial District in the upcoming 2027 general elections, stressing his exceptional suitability to represent the good people of Nasarawa West.
Dr. Galadima appreciated the group’s thoughtful consideration of him as reflected in the Communique received today, acknowledging the presence of other qualified stakeholders in the zone. He assured the group of his commitment to studying the Communique, engaging in consultations with relevant stakeholders, and responding accordingly. Furthermore, Dr. Galadima pledged his necessary support to the group whenever required.
Dr Umar Musa Galadima, ESV, holds the position of Galadima of Marmara in Nasarawa LGA. He combines the benefits of his roles as a traditional title holder, civil servant, and politician. Galadima, a wealthy businessman and retired civil servant, has gained popularity among the youth. Over 10 years, his philanthropic activities have benefited several households and individuals within the zone, generating goodwill that will be beneficial to him in the election.
The multiplier effect from family and relatives of beneficiaries of his various empowerment programmes, which are numbered in the thousands, can only be conceived when considered in terms of votes that would accrue to him from those who regard him as their benefactor.
Galadima originates from Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency, thereby benefiting from the party’s zoning initiative. Having previously contested for a Senatorial position, he has established a robust zonal, state, and national political network that grants him considerable leverage.
In addition, Galadima occupies a traditional title in Marmara, namely the Galadima of Marmara, a revered title exclusively reserved for the most eminent and charitable individuals in the community. This title will naturally bring considerable benefits within traditional and religious spheres. Moreover, it will have a ripple effect on his party, the PDP, and possibly advantage the prospective gubernatorial candidate.
