Delta State Orientation Bureau and Chief Adviser’s Office Partner for Progress

The Director-General of the Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, wishes to congratulate Sen. Ighoyota Amori, Ph.D., on his well-deserved appointment as Chief Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State.

During a courtesy visit to Chief Amori’s office, Dr. Oghenesivbe led the management team of the Orientation Bureau to discuss the state government’s policies, programs, and achievements, with the goal of strengthening collaboration between the Chief Adviser’s office and the Orientation Bureau.

Chief Amori stressed the crucial role of his office in providing well-researched guidance to the Governor. He encouraged stakeholders to view his office as a key liaison with the government, ensuring government initiatives reach all areas of the state.

Senator Amori stated that his appointment was expected, given his extensive experience serving the party and state in various capacities, including as a PDP member, member of the PDP Board of Trustees, and the Board of Governors. He praised Dr. Oghenesivbe for leading the successful “Drug Free Delta Campaign” and urged him to continue, emphasizing the importance of avoiding hard drugs due to their detrimental health effects.

Chief Amori warned young people of the dangers of drug use, advising them to steer clear of substances that may induce temporary euphoria but ultimately lead to devastating consequences. He lauded the “Drug Free Delta Campaign” as a praiseworthy initiative that requires a unified effort to produce desired outcomes. He urged parents, guardians, and community leaders to work in tandem with the government to inform and sensitize the youth about the risks associated with drug abuse.

Dr. Oghenesivbe acknowledged Chief Amori’s significant impact on his successes and expressed appreciation for his ongoing contributions. The Director-General expressed assurance in the Chief Adviser’s office to aid the Governor in attaining the state government’s goals.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for Dr. Oghenesivbe to brief Chief Amori on the Bureau’s forthcoming initiatives, including the ‘Delta Value Charter’ aimed at creating a value chain for all Deltans and enhancing the state’s development. Chief Amori expressed strong support for the initiative and pledged to collaborate closely with the Bureau to ensure its success.

Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe appreciated Senator Ighoyota Amori, Ph.D., for accepting the role of Chief Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State and lauded Sen. Amori for his steadfast dedication, characterizing him as a pillar of political fortitude and prudence.
