Tinubu Gives APC NWC Thumbs Up

President Bola Tinubu recently expressed his confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership during the National Caucus meeting at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

President Tinubu commended the party’s leadership for its dedication to growth and stability, reaffirming his commitment to the APC’s Renewed Hope Manifesto.

The meeting marked the first such gathering since he took office and was attended by key party leaders, including Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of building the nation and contributing to Africa’s growth, while also addressing critics of his administration.

Addressing party stakeholders, President Tinubu commended the NWC, led by National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, for their efforts in fortifying party structures and promoting unity. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the party’s leadership in delivering on the APC’s mandate to Nigerians.

The President stressed the importance of party unity, urging all stakeholders to remain resolute in their commitment to the party’s success. His endorsement of the NWC sends a clear message of stability and forward-thinking leadership, reinforcing the APC’s position as Nigeria’s leading political force.

The APC National Woman Leader, Dr. Mary Alile, lauded the President’s unshakeable commitment to the NWC and his appreciation of their hard work. She described the vote of confidence as a well-deserved tribute to the committee’s tireless endeavors in ensuring the party’s continued strength, inclusivity, and progressiveness.

“We are thankful for the President’s trust in our leadership. This endorsement will encourage us to continue working towards a more unified and formidable APC. Under his leadership, we are confident that the party will continue to grow and fulfill its commitments to Nigerians,” Dr. Alile stated.”

The meeting, the first since President Tinubu assumed office on May 29, 2023, addressed pressing party matters, including plans for a non-elective convention, formation of standing committees, the establishment of The Progressive Institute, and the introduction of an e-registration exercise for party members.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and other high-ranking party leaders were in attendance.
